instructions for reviewers - ccsu ujb

 

Please read the manuscript completely once before writing any comments.  Then re-read the manuscript and make notes to yourself about the manuscript.  Finally write your review based on the following outline.

1.  Overview.  Write and brief (one paragraph) overview of the what the manuscript reports.

2.  Strengths.  Write a brief (one paragraph) description of what you view as the strengths of the paper.

3.  Suggestions.  Number the suggestions that you have for improving the manuscript.  These could include points that need clarification, information that seems to be left out, concerns about the study design, study limitations that need identification, grammatical improvements, etc.

4.  Recommendation.  Provide a recommendation to the editor as to whether the manuscript should be a) accepted as is, b) accepted with revision, or c) not accepted for publication.

Return your review as an email to the editor within three weeks of receiving the manuscript and review request from the editor.
