Master of Science in Biology: Anesthesia |

The Anesthesia Program is coordinated by Dr. Ruth Rollin. The student must be a licensed registered nurse and satisfactorily complete the program of study in Nurse Anesthesia at an affiliated hospital-based school of nurse anesthesia which includes 1000 hours of clinical practicum. The Program lasts for 29 months, with the first 12 months at the University and the remaining 17 months spent at an affiliated hospital school of nurse anesthesia (listed below). The program at the University begins the latter part of May and involves a Summer, a Fall, and a Spring term, followed by the clinical practicum at the hospital. Admission to this program is contingent upon admission to one of the affiliated schools of nurse anesthesia (listed below). Prospective students apply first to an affiliated hospital school of anesthesia. The hospital school will then provide the necessary information regarding University and Hospital School application and acceptance procedures. (Names, addresses, and phone numbers are listed below.) Each Plan consists of a Professional Education Component, a Major Field Component, and a Capstone Component. Professional Education Component for Plan A or Plan B (6 credits)
Major Field Component for Plan A or Plan B (21 credits)
Capstone Component, Plan A (6 credits)
Capstone Component, Plan B (4 credits)
