B.S. Biology: Specialization in Environmental Science (non

The B.S. Biology: Specialization in Environmental Science degree program provides students with a strong biology core curriculum with added multidisciplinary strengths in environmental science, particularly aquatic (freshwater and estuarine) ecology and plant and animal organismal biology. The program prepares students for careers in environmental science and natural resources management with government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and the environmental industry, or for graduate study in these areas. Course requirements for the program include: Thirty-one to thirty-five (31-35) credits in Biology as follows:
One course (3 or 4 credits) from the Biodiversity course group:
One course (with laboratory, 4 credits) from the Physiology course group:
In addition, the student must take the following 37-38 credits of related requirements:
Students in the B.S. Biology, Specialization in Environmental Science program are not required to have a Minor. However, the completion of the requirements for a B.S. Biology, Specialization in Environmental Science also completes the requirements for a Minor in Chemistry. |
