Prevalence of African sleeping sickness in Uganda in the year 2005
As you can see in the pictures courtesy of the website listed on the bottom left, between the years of 1905-1920 until recently the year of 2005 the amount of African sleeping sickness has decreased drastically over the past 80 years. In the table on the top right, it displays the number of deaths over the course of the past century. However this table displays the acuity of how much this disease is on the rise and how with proper education, screening methods and treatment how the numbers can decrease drastically to minimal amounts.
