Peru, Amazonas. The following six pictures are of herbarium specimen Wurdack 1177 (K).
Young branches and leaves extremely villous; hairs unbranched (finger) and some gland-tipped. One to two flowers per inflorescence. Filaments glabrous. Nectar red. Anther 2.46 mm long
